What should I have ready once the line is active?
Tell a provider the service address, what you observed, when it started and whether a leak, slow drain, water heater or sewer line is involved. Describe only what you can safely observe. Ask whether the independent plumber serves that address and what assessment is proposed. The inquiry-area ZIPs do not confirm availability.
How can I check a plumber?
Ask for the business name, applicable Louisiana license and insurance. The State Plumbing Board of Louisiana offers a licensed-plumber search; this site does not verify the provider for you. Any service agreement is directly with the plumber.
